Child Abuse and Neglect
Mandatory Reporting and Training

Wisconsin law requires all employees of Wisconsin public school districts to report suspected child abuse and neglect, Wis. Stat. sec. 48.981(2)(a)16m.  Employees are considered to be anyone who receives an annual statement of wages for tax purposes (W-4 form) from the School District of Amery, including substitutes and coaches.   In order to comply with Wisconsin Act 81, all employees must complete a training session provided by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.  An online web training is available by clicking here.  (Microsoft Silverlight is the software needed to view the training, so you may be asked to install the necessary software before you are able to view the training).  A Powerpoint version is also available to use.

After you have completed the training, you will need to print off the completion certificate  and submit it to Mrs. Robarge in the High School office.
