The School District of Amery Board of Education has adopted the Wisconsin Academic Standards as the standards to which curricula are aligned. The Wisconsin Academic Standards identify what students should know and be able to do in the classroom within a given subject or content area.
Standards serve as goals for student learning, guideposts for classroom instruction, and a framework for assessment. Academic standards also provide a foundation for the development of local curriculum. Clear statements about what students must know and do are essential to ensure that our schools offer opportunities to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success and prepare our students to be college and career-ready following high school graduation.
Questions about curriculum and academic standards can be directed to Jessica D’Ambrosio, Director of Curriculum. She can be contacted by email or phone (715) 268-9771 ext. 274. Or please, reach out to your school building principal.
