The TIP Grant provides grant assistance to the most financially needy and educationally disadvantaged Wisconsin resident students attending colleges and universities in the State of Wisconsin. In addition to financial need, students must also meet one of the following criteria: be a first generation student (neither of your parents have graduated from a 4-year college), be a member of a minority group, be enrolled in a special academic support program at school, be a DVR client, or have special family circumstances that may deter the student from pursuing a post-secondary education. This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution. There is no age restriction. Be sure to include your name and the school you are attending this year and next. This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the topic below:

Graduating seniors intending to enroll in a Wisconsin private or public college/university or technical school after graduation may enter this essay contest, which will award $7,000 in scholarships. Applicants must prepare an essay on the following topic “What is the appropriate role of recall elections in Wisconsin at the state and local levels?” The essay should be between 500-1,000 words. The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.

Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. Students must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words on the question below.
What are your dreams for your future? When you look back on your life in thirty years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?
