When we build a video for you, our philosophy on this is to find a good balance between a video’s data size while maintaining high picture quality. Or in short, maximizing picture quality and minimizing it’s size. By doing this, most videos within reasonable length will play with minimal hesitation, yet still look good.
Here are some tips that might help:
-
So you’re watching an online video that you’re anxious to see when it suddenly stalls. You wait for a few seconds, then it plays and suddenly stops again. “ARRRGGGGHHH!” you say. “Why can’t I just watch the thing without it constantly stopping?” you ask. Buffering is when an online video hesitates while it is supposed to play. This can happen when your computer is unable to handle the streaming video because of the speed of your internet connection is inadequate for viewing streaming video. Video files that are large in data size can be a culprit as well.
-
Before going the costly route, try closing all unnecessary applications that you have running to reduce the amount of memory being used. Your computer’s memory handles the feed.
-
If all else fails, try pausing the video to allow the video time to finish streaming/downloading and then press play when it’s finished.
-
If you wish to view a larger version of the video click on the "Launch stand-alone Windows Media Player" link. Then you can adjust the size of the video.
