Two ‘free’ snow days have been built into the school calendar. If those days are used, and we have additional cancelations due to weather, we will attempt Remote Learning rather than adding days to the end of the school year. We understand that Remote Learning may be difficult for some learners, especially our youngest learners. It will look different for students of different ages, so families are encouraged to use their best judgment. We are not seeking a ‘perfect’ academic day; we are trying to do the best we can.
We empathize with working parents who simply may not be able to juggle their work duties with their child’s Remote Learning. Please make the best decisions for your family. As you can imagine, these decisions are not easy. We appreciate your patience and support throughout winter as we try to do what is best for the safety of our students and staff.
Lien Elementary & Intermediate Schools:
- Remote Learning Day packets were sent home during parent/teacher conferences. The packets extend the learning that is occurring in your child's classroom.
- Packets include student classroom work, specialist activities, instructions, and login information for any potential online learning programs. These packets should be completed and returned to the teacher upon the student's return to school.
- The teachers will also hold office hours during the Remote Learning school day with contacts being made via Seesaw, Google Meet, and/or email.
Middle School:
Amery Middle School students will be attending virtual classes. Students have been trained and will access the live stream presentation and materials from their Google Classroom for each class. Students need to check their Office 365 Outlook school email regularly while at home. Communication from teachers may be used through email in addition to Google Classroom. All homework, activities, handouts, etc. will be found in Google Classrooms. All students have been trained using Google Classroom and are able to access instruction and materials. Contact the middle school office if you do not have WiFi and will need paper copies of work.
