The School District of Amery has been accepted as a School-Wide Title I program through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. A school-wide program serves all students in comparison to a targeted assistance school, which serves only students who meet specific criteria. Students receive academic remediation through the Title I program following the Response to Intervention (RtI) Model. As a school-wide Title I program, we are eligible to use Title I funds to provide small group instruction, instruction by highly qualified teachers, extra time and resources needed for teaching skills, and opportunities for professional development and family involvement.
A student may be supported in class by a teacher or trained paraprofessional or may be pulled out for small group instruction. Both the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the School District of Amery recognize how crucial parent involvement is to student achievement and well-being. Research shows that how well children do in school depends a great deal upon how much their parents are involved in their education. We know that learning is maximized when everyone involved is actively working together and we look forward to working alongside you on promoting your child’s lifelong success. If you have any questions or concerns about the School District of Amery’s Title I Plan, please don't hesitate to reach out to the building principal, your child’s classroom teacher, or one of our Title I teachers.
