Hello!

My name is Sonja Heldt, and I am a 5th grade teacher at Amery Intermediate School. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in May of 2020. I then began my teaching career in my hometown of River Falls, WI where I taught 5th grade at Rocky Branch Elementary. I started in Amery in 2021, teaching third, fourth and fifth graders in a project-based learning setting. I now teach traditional 5th grade and couldn't imagine myself doing anything else!

In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends doing various activities such as kayaking, camping and trying new places to eat. I enjoy taking my dogs, Dixie and Nova on adventures and playing with my kitty, Toby. I also enjoy working in my garden, reading and watching movies!
