My name is Jennifer Kennedy and I am an excited teacher. I love being an elementary teacher!
A bit about myself.
I earned my BS in in 2006 in Elementary Education from UW-River Falls, with a minor in Early Childhood. I earned my Master's degree in Education in 2012, with an additional Reading Teacher license from UW-Stout. I have been teaching in the Amery School District for ten years, two of those as a Kindergarten teacher, seven years teaching first grade. I am now teaching the Project-Based Multiage classroom.
I have two boys, both Amery graduates, two crazy dogs that keep me in stitches, and a husband of 24 years that melts my heart. My hobbies include college football, college hockey and reading.
The following poem is one of my favorites and is a beautiful reminder that learning is life-long, so enjoy the journey and treasure the memories.

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.
I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.
I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.
I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.
