Open to seniors intending to enroll in an art major at an accredited institution of higher education. Applicants should also be involved in extra curricular activities and have inspirational goals. Applicants will need to submit an application which includes a 1-2 page autobiography regarding your activities, community service awards, and reasons for pursuing a degree in the visual arts. Two letters of recommendation are also required.

The AB Nicholas Scholarship Foundation will offer approximately 100 scholarships to Wisconsin high school graduates based on need, academic achievement and character. Applicants must be residents of Wisconsin, be private or public school high school students, participate in the basketball program during senior year (players and/or managers) and planning to attend a University of Wisconsin system school. The annual scholarships (10,000 for four year programs and $5.000 for two year programs) are renewable for the length of the program as long as you maintain a 2.00 GPA. Due to NCAA regulations, an Ab Nicholas Scholarship recipient may not participate in NCAA Division I, II or III athletics while attending a 4-year UW System school. Students will need to submit an essay with the following information noted in the essay-
1. Evidence of leadership skills,
2. Behavior and involvement in activities demonstrative of integrity and good work ethics,
3.Commendable academic performance (transcript),
4. Knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of citizenship,
5. Enthusiasm of, and interest in, community activities and services and
6. Interest in pursuing a career in the area of law.
Applicants should focus their submissions on these six areas. Students will also need to obtain at least one letter of recommendation and transcript. This information is due to to Angela Olson, 328 Vine Street, Hudson, WI 54016 by 5/1/2025. Members of the SCVBA will select the scholarship recipients. |

Scholarship Information for Students
- The CVTC Foundation offers over 400 scholarship opportunities.
- There are numerous scholarships available for current high school seniors who will be attending CVTC this coming fall.
- Students can apply in a matter of minutes via the online application.
- Student scholarships range in amount from $200 to as much as $5,000. Some of these awards are program specific, but others are open to all CVTC students.
- Any student with a CVTC student ID is eligible to apply. Check out available scholarships and apply by logging onto cvtc.academicworks.com
- Search for program-specific scholarships by entering your program name in the “Search by Keyword” box under “Our Opportunities” or view all scholarships.
- The deadline for these scholarship applications varies.
- Please reach out to cvtcscholarships@cvtc.edu if you would like a member of our staff to come to your classroom and do a short presentation on scholarships.
- A “HOW TO APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS” guide is attached to this email if students need assistance, in addition, academic services is available to help!
NOTE: Even if your students feel they are not eligible to receive financial aid, please have them consider filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) HERE if they haven’t already completed it already. Numerous CVTC Foundation scholarships are financial need based, and if students haven’t completed the FAFSA, they would not be eligible for those scholarships. |

All applicants must graduate from a Wisconsin public or private high school and plan to attend a Wisconsin public or private college or university in the fall. Essays will be judged independently on originality and subject matter in relation to the topic. The essays must also contain correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Proof of enrollment in a Wisconsin public or private college is required to receive a scholarship. The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.
